Membership Coordinator Job Description
 
The Ohio Arts Professionals Network is looking for a Membership Coordinator to act as the liaison between our organization and current and future members. The membership coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of membership, from serving as the first point of contact for membership related questions to organizing in-person and online recruitment events. This position is also tasked with maintaining records, tracking membership figures, creating social media posts and graphics, and coordinating with the Executive Director/Membership Committee to meet financial membership goals.
 
Ultimately, an excellent Membership Coordinator should be an outstanding communicator with a talent for building strong relationships between members and the organization.
 
Membership Coordinator Responsibilities:
  • Handling all questions, information requests, and complaints regarding membership.
  • Maintain the website membership portal.
  • Utilize the membership portal and find new ways to connect members and enhance this platform.
  • Maintaining and updating membership records.
  • Assisting with member communication activities.
  • Collecting data, tracking membership statistics, and preparing reports.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to recruit new members.
  • Meeting financial membership numbers and goals.
  • Preparing online social media membership messaging.
  • Organize in person and online events throughout the state and activities for existing and prospective members.
  • Identify all potential presenter organizations in the state of Ohio. 
  • Work with the finance committee, membership committee, and executive director to determine membership fee income/structure and ways to improve.
  • Prevent membership attrition by ensuring member satisfaction.
Membership Coordinator Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Experience in customer service, arts management or sales preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Docs, Google Forms.
  • Must have a computer, cell phone, and access to reliable internet.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and take initiative.
  • Highly organized.
  • Live in the state of Ohio.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Our mission is to support and grow the touring Arts & Culture industry in Ohio. We do this by enhancing communities through the arts, help members gain valuable best business practices through educational opportunities, we connect with a diverse network of arts professionals, encourage advocacy for the Arts & Culture industry in Ohio and finally, produce a biennial networking and showcase conference for our members to attend. Employment Information:
Term of Employment: January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023
Position Status: Contracted 1099, part-time [You will be responsible for paying your own taxes]
Amount: Annual stipend of $18,720. Paid either $1,560 monthly or $720 biweekly, with up to $2,300 travel reimbursement
Additional details: Work remote, Some travel.
